Peters, Pauls And Elvis - This Week On The 20 20
Monday, it's the hits out of mainland Europe!
Yes, it's one of our favourite countdowns... the "European Invasion".. 20 artists who came out of continental Europe and took over the Aussie charts. Ofcourse, we'll hear from the likes of ABBA, Roxette and Europe.. but we'll remember people like Golden Earring and Blue Suede.. and the group who are amongst the biggest selling heavy metal bands of all time, who are one hit wonders here. We'll also hear from the dentist who's music career was frowned upon by his family - at first - in the European Invasion 20 20 Retro Countdown!
Tuesday - He won gold and carried the flag!
This countdown takes us back to mid August 1984 when the name on everyone's lips was "Dean Lukin". The weight lifter won gold in amazing fashion at the LA Olympics and topped that effort off by being chosen to carry the flag at the closing ceremony. While that was going on - the "Lion roared in 84" - listen for that tv ad flashback... and we'll look back at the biggest movie of the time, as we play the hits of this week in 1984!

This week is the 40th anniversary of the death of the king of Rock and Roll... and we'll pay tribute with a countdown dedicated to Elvis. There's the songs that payed tribute to the king, songs that mention him... then the Elvis hits in a countdown of Elvis originals and covers. We'll remember, a moment in Elvis' life when he had a choice between a bike and a guitar - and I'll reveal what he really wanted.. and there's a special guest on board too in the Elvis tribute 20 20 Retro Countdown!
Thursday - Saved by the hits from 1989!
It's a 20 20 Retro countdown from the week when the teen favourite tv show "Saved By The Bell" permiered... but if you're not a fan of Zack Morris, A.C.Slater, Kelly, Lisa Turtle, Jessie and of course Screech... then we'll save you with 20 great songs that were on the Aussie charts in mid August 1989. Included is the singer who had 2 hits on the charts and a big deal with Pepsi that didn't last long. Join us for the 20 20 to find out who that was!
